Passing the Baton
Since 1994, LINK CEO and founder Mary Jo Ryan’s keen vision and strong leadership have been instrumental in building our company. Now Mary Jo has announced her retirement.

Among her many accomplishments: the forging of LINK’s unique “Above and Beyond the Call” customer service philosophy, which our customers enjoy in the form of dedicated client teams and reliable, powerful audio and web conferencing technologies.

Mary Jo plans an active retirement in the Pacific Northwest and will continue as an inspiration and valuable management resource for all of us at LINK.

Rodney Ryan, now in his eleventh year with LINK, will continue his role as President—and his dedication to Above and Beyond the Call service. Citing two recent accomplishments—the expansion of corporate headquarters and the addition of significant new conferencing infrastructure—Rodney looks forward to bringing powerful new conferencing services to LINK customers in the coming months.

Web conferencing wisdom:
Incorporating Multimedia Content into your PowerPoint

To grab the attention of meeting and event attendees, try turning your PowerPoint™ slideshow into a high-impact, rich media presentation. With surprising ease, you can use WebLINK Edge to create compelling video, audio and animation.

With the Universal Communications Format Toolkit for WebLINK Edge—a plug-in program for Microsoft PowerPoint™—it’s a snap to create engaging, content-rich multimedia slides which incorporate any or all the following media:

  • WebEx Recording Format (WRF)
  • Video: Windows Media and Apple QuickTime
  • Audio: Windows Media
  • Movies and Interactive: Flash
  • Web pages: HTML

When you share these supercharged slides in an online meeting, playback is synchronized across all participant screens. Here’s how to get started:

  1. Install the Rich Media Universal Communications Tool Kit

  2. Create your Rich Media Presentation by selecting multimedia elements to add to your WEBLINK Edge Power Point Presentation

  3. Share your Rich Media Presentation with others during an online meeting or training session

See, we told you it was easy! If you get stuck or want us to walk you through it, call LINK customer care any time at 1.800.756.8280. And may your media grow richer.
